RCBI and Southern Machinist / CNC Program Registration

The Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI) is providing new educational opportunities in southern West Virginia while tackling the skills gap in manufacturing through the development of new machining programs in McDowell and Mingo counties.

RCBI developed the programs in partnership with Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College and the McDowell County Career and Technology Center. The program is funded by a POWER grant with funding from ARC, USEDA, and the Claude Worthington Benedum Foundation. The machining programs will be offered at Southern’s campus in Williamson and at the Career Technical Center in Welch.
