This position is full-time "term" faculty with excellent benefits.  Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College seeks innovative committed to community college students and their success.  The successful candidate will utilize various technologies in the classroom and for distance delivery of instruction; have all other duties of a full-time instructor such as committee assignments, program reviews; and advising students; have ability to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, staff and students as part of an education team; and write and update curricula including course outlines and syllabi as required by the institution or industry trends.  Function:  One of Southern's highest priorities is meeting the current and future educational needs of the communities it serves.  We are strategically positioned to set and surpass new standards of excellence in our primary teaching and learning mission.  We welcome qualified curriculum design, and teaching activities; Apply technology to teaching and learning process, and deliver instruction in a variety of formats; Understand and apply organization theory, and thrive in cross functional roles; Collaboration, Imagination, problem solving, and data-driven decision making, as well as, integrating interdisciplinary and global perspectives into their methodology.  Requirements:  Master's Degree or higher in a science field.  We prefer a candidate who can teach biological sciences, physical sciences, chemistry, and physics.  Therefore, a master's degree in one with significant coursework in one or more of the others is acceptable.  We will also consider a candidate who is qualified in one or more of the above fields.  Community college teaching experience is preferred but not required.  Candidate must be willing to develop and teach courses online.  Computer skills using office production software is preferred.  Knowledge of and experience with a variety of instructional strategies is required.  This position will be housed at our Boone Campus, but teaching at other campuses might be required to fill teaching load or serve the needs of our students.  Position will remain open until filled.
